We are proud to be one of the initiating partners of the International SubSpace Energy Hub
About SubSpace Energy Hub
There has been much development in renewable energy production, but the needed underground storage of this green energy is still in its infancy. Furthermore, the uptake in low carbon solutions for the creation of underground space, be it in tunnelling or mining, is only starting to be adopted.
To fast track the potential the underground world offers the development of a more sustainable society, a new international group has been founded by renowned individuals and international companies in both practical and theoretical aspects of alternative energy systems and the development of underground infrastructure.
The new SubSpace Energy Hub at VSH in Switzerland offers the ideal platform for the harmonized development, prototyping and installation of new technologies that promote best practice in sustainable energy use and storage, combining both above and underground facilities to benefit our society. This will be a model ecosystem of sustainable energy storage and delivery, above and below ground, and how it supports green energy use in future cities.
Together with the partners, VSH will be transformed into a visionary sustainable and CO2 neutral underground infrastructure where construction and operation of underground space usage will be developed, prototyped and launched, including renewable energy sources like solar, biogas, geothermal, advanced energy storage systems and built using environmentally friendly electric driven equipment, coupled with low carbon subspace design, materials and component choices.
