General terms and conditions

Welcome to CUC.

By enrolling in our training programs, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1.1. Scope/Content

The following terms and conditions apply to all business relations of International Centre for Geotechnics and Underground construction (hereinafter referred to as CUC) arising from a contractual relationship. Deviations therefrom shall only be valid if they have been agreed in writing between the contracting parties.

1.2. Legal basis

The legal relationship between the contracting parties shall be governed by the following:

– Swiss law, in particular the Code of Obligations.

– the concluded contract (order confirmation with associated offer, signed visitor registration, e-mail correspondence is considered binding).

This order is decisive if individual provisions contradict each other.

1.3. Liability for third party damages

Liability for damage to third parties and the infrastructure of CUC resulting from damage caused by external parties shall be borne in full by the respective client.

CUC is not liable for the services of independent third parties who have a direct contractual relationship with the client.

Accident insurance is the responsibility of the participant or visitor in all cases.

1.4. Enrolment and Payment

To secure your spot in a training course, payment must be made in full at the time of registration.

Payment methods accepted are [direct bank transfers or stripe].

Payments shall always be made free of charges

All fees are non-refundable, except as provided in the cancellation policy.

1.5. Course Information

Course schedules, content, and instructors are subject to change at the company’s discretion.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered an alternative course or a full refund.

1.6. Classroom and Hands-On Training

In-person training sessions will be conducted at our designated training facilities. Participants are responsible for their transportation and accommodation if nothing else is indicated on the confirmation.

Hands-on training may involve the use of specialized equipment or machinery. Participants must adhere to safety guidelines and instructions provided by the instructors.

Participants are required to arrive on time for all sessions. Latecomers may not be permitted to join the class, and no refunds or rescheduling will be offered.

1.7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, including presentations, handouts, and manuals, are the intellectual property of CUC and are protected by copyright laws. Participants may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without written permission.

Any audio or video recording of training sessions is strictly prohibited.

1.8. Conduct and Respect

Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully towards instructors, staff, and fellow learners.

Any disruptive behaviour, harassment, or violation of safety guidelines will result in immediate removal from the training course without a refund.

1.9. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations made by participants in writing will be charged the following proportion of the costs:

100%           0 – 21       days before training

75%          21 – 28       days before training

50%          28 – 60       days before training

25%          over 61      days before training

Refunds will not be issued for missed training sessions or no-shows.

If there are too few applications, the course will be postponed. Three weeks’ notice will be given if this is the case.

1.10.         Limitation of Liability

CUC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our training services.

Participants acknowledge that participation in hands-on training involves inherent risks and agree to assume all responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur during such activities.
